Framed by the role population growth needs to play in future economic development efforts, the committee is working with regional communities to define the needs and help to assess regional collaboration. While the committee has reviewed historical data regarding population loss and economic statistics, the discussion of tangible ways regional communities can work together to market, build and share resources is crucial to working together. The group has agreed that an economic win for one community is a economic win for all communities. Greater communication between communities in the region about economic development efforts is the first step in building a regional concept.
